SC and FSC tubular braid

FSC, SC cords.

Silica cord is produced both filled (FSC) and hollow (SC) with a diameter of 1–35 mm (TC 2291-001-41533292-2005).  Sealing cords of silica thread are used as a thermal barrier in various technological processes, which occur at high temperatures up to 1,150 °C (2,102 °F). In particular, when sealing doors and hatches of heat chambers, moving elements of furnaces, expansion joints, lining of furnaces, etc. Materials are high resistance to heat shock and increased radiation, have excellent electrical insulation properties at elevated temperatures and high humidity, can be used for a long time at temperature of 1150 °С (2102 °F) and for a short time at higher temperatures up to 1250 °С (2282 °F). Products made of silica threads are resistant to organic and inorganic acids even at elevated temperature (except for hydrofluoric, phosphoric, hydrochloric) and weak alkalies. They are an excellent substitute for asbestos, not dangerous to human health (non-toxic, non-flammable, non-combustible). Sealing cords are elastic, flexible, resilient, resistant to vibrations, humidity, solar radiation and have good adhesion to high-temperature glues. The maximum temperature of continuous operation is 1150 °C (2102 °F). The maximum temperature of short-term overheating is 1250 °С (2282 °F).
